Mindset Cards

AIM

STEPS

When addressing conservation challenges, we need to see possibilities through a new set of mental models that are coherent with the natural realm that we ourselves are part of.

These 7 mindsets will help you explore a genuine connection to yourself, your team members, your communities, your stakeholders, all humanity and the natural environment as a whole.

The following mental models will help participants align with their values, assumptions, agenda, and expectations.

1. Download the card templates and print them in A5 or print them professionally. Each card has a front image and an explanation on the back.

2. Make sure that you have created a safe space that allows participants to bring their whole true selves to this exercise. You can discuss agreements like "no judgment", "speak from your personal experience in the first person", more info here.

3.You can take turns to draw a card and reflect on how each mental model applies to yourself, your team,  your institution, and/or the project you are working on.

4. There are no set times or strict rules, trust the process, read the room and let the exercise flow.
